Resistick II Blade Electrodes from Bovie are coated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) that resists eschar build-up. This allows them to move more effectively through tissue, making them much more efficient during surgical procedures. These electrodes wipe clean with a damp sponge or cloth unlike common stainless steel electrodes, with have a propensity to accumulate the discarded blood and tissue. Bovie utilizes an Ionic Backscatter measuring system to guarantee both an accurate and consistent coating thickness.
